REALTORS Association Reports September Housing Numbers Slightly Down

According to a report from the Arkansas REALTORS® Association, Arkansas REALTORS®  experienced a small decline of the number of homes sold statewide in September 2012 as reflected in a report distributed by the Arkansas Realtors® Association this morning. The number of homes sold in Arkansas in September decreased by a little more than six percent over a year ago while the average price of those homes sold rose by over 7 percent. The average price of the homes sold in the 43 county area surveyed by the Association increased from $146,694 in September 2011 to $157,794 in September 2012. Statewide valuations in September rose by over 9 percent from last year.
